Pollicy – Research & Data Collection (Francophone Africa)

Pollicy coordinated a Facebook-funded (now Meta-funded) project on understanding feminist data and how technology platforms can support feminist organizations in Africa. Our bilingual research consultants worked in close collaboration with the Pollicy research team and partners to explore the use of data by feminist movements in Francophone Africa.

We led conversations in French around empowerment through the production, sharing, and use of gender data, and obtained information on how this knowledge can be translated into actionable recommendations for private technology companies in terms of how they share non-commercial datasets.

This scope of work involved planning, managing, implementation, developing research methodology and tools, conducting interviews and focus group discussions, drafting reports, etc in order to achieve the project targets as effectively and efficiently as possible ensuring consistency with the project proposal.
